I hope this blog finds you well ! Beautiful winter weather here in Brisbane!
The last couple of months have been spent doing gigs and going to the gym.
I have started writing again and its exciting and a breath of fresh air!
We also start recording again soon and will hopefully have some new product out by the end of the year!! YAY!!!!!
We are looking forward to the great band gigs coming up! Caboolture RSL Ladies and Mercedes Show on 21st August. The Bowen Fishing Classic 18th September, Fernvale Bulls Boxing and Music Festival 24th and 25th of September and Mud Bulls and Music November 4th and 6th
Unfortunately no muster for us this year :(

The Month of May
The month of May has been wonderful, with a heap of traveling throughout QLD and NSW, I had an awesome time in the Hunter Valley for a corporate function and was lucky enough to spend some time at Cypress Lakes Resort! We then traveled out to Biloela QLD back to Brisbane, out to Blackwater for the PINK ANGELS fundraiser for Cancer. ARAMAC for the Camp Oven Cook off which was a fantastic food experience!! We then began our journey back to Brisbane after 4000kms in the car in 9 days!! THE CAR MUST HAVE BEEN AS TIRED AS ME!! the car broke down!! YAY in Jericho QLD! Update Late April 2010
Well the last few weeks were spent with a heap of gigs in North Queensland, and some much needed time at home with my family.

We have been confirmed for MUD BULLS AND MUSIC THIS YEAR WHOHOOOOOO!!!
SO Will be geared up with my Band the Heelers for an awesome gig!!

Luella Newsletter
HI everyone and WELCOME to the FIRST 2010 Edition of the LUELLA newsletter and it pains me to say it as it is APRIL already OH MY GOODNESS! WHAT WHERE WHEN AND HOW???????????????????????

Where shall I start??
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Bring on the Big ten! Welcoming a whole new bunch of ups and downs in this rollercoaster that is LIFE! I hope this year (what's left of it already) brings you a billion smiles!!
I spent New Year with My family in North Queensland and it was Fantastic! I have not been home since and I am EXTREMELY homesick and will be there again in April for my Baby sister Courtney's 21st Birthday (I CANNOT BELIEVE OUR BABY IS 21)
January was absolutely wonderful, Our journey to Tamworth was great, our crowds were so responsive and I had the time of my life on stage with such an awesome band! THANK YOU SO MUCH to all that attended and a really huge thank you for buying merchandise!! We had 6 shows in the five days and loved every minute!
We all stayed together in a house this year, cooked dinner practiced songs (ONCE) watched the tennis, we are like one big family and that's just how I like it! Thanks To Kristian Brooks for organising such great accom! Thanks to Scotty and his gorgeous family for letting us have their house!! I was soooo sad to leave to be honest!
February and March were spent traveling throughout Queensland and NSW for shows, we are slowly moving South People in NSW please hang in there! If only LOGISTICS didn't get in the way!
I spent Easter at home in Brisbane and had a great little get together on Good Friday, Had a singalong and cooked up a huge amount of food for my friends, and lit 100 candles. It was just lovely! I then had a gig to raise money for the Starlight foundation on Easter Saturday and Sunday was spent Having Brunch with friends and then home to watch Boston Legal and Eat Chocolate bunnies in bed hehehehe!!
This week I head out with the Band to play at the KILKIVAN GREAT HORSERIDE it will be fantastic! people come from all over to participate and then the day ends with a great Concert! Jetty Road, Neil Duddy and Myself with the Heelers will be Rocking under the stars!!
I have also included a video for you to watch that I took from my iphone while we were traveling to Mudgee NSW good for a laugh!
RECIPE HHMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM what to cook what to cook! Now I know I am slack with my Newsletters but I am thinking you guys are just as bad!! I need you to send me your favorite recipes or something you have made up yourself so I can post it in my newsletters SHARE THE LOVE!!
I head back from a few people who tried the Strawberry Crumble I included in the last newsletter and they said it was great! and I made it at Christmas Time with my Nieces they LOVED IT!! I did forget it was in the oven and I went up town for a while hhhmm was a little overdone hehehe!
This month is an easy recipe to add to Salads!
Wellies Simple Speedy Tangy Salad Dressing
It depends on how much you neeeeeeeeeeed!! I never do anything by measurement to be honest I just go with what feels right and tastes right!!
Ingredients
Tablespoon White Vinegar
Half a lemon
teaspoon of sugar
2 garlic Gloves (OR AS DESIRED)
Pinch Salt
Teaspoon of Olive Oil
Pinch Pepper if you like!
Mix all ingredients in a small bowl and serve on your Tossed Salad!! YIPPEEE

Welcome to My Birthday, Christmas and instead of Here come Santa Clause the HERE COMES TAMWORTH Newsletter!! This one will feature some great photos from My recent birthday Party, a fun time was had by all, everyone said I looked really great for 22!!!! There Will be a Tamworth Gig Guide Included for those of you who will be there in the big TEN!!
WELCOME TO THE NEW MEMBERS ! THANK YOU FOR GETTING ON BOARD!! So happy to have your support!
WOW where do I start!!
I WILL START WITH THE END OF THE LAST NEWSLETTER!!! was that a month ago hehehhee?? Ok it was September!!
THE WINTON OUTBACK FESTIVAL!! We had the most adventurous day Leading up to what was a great gig! I have added some colourful Poetry to lighten the story it is in PINK!
SO its 5 am and LUELLA is out of bed! Now this is truly amazing, I have surfaced before the sun has risen and its NOT PRETTY!! I am normally up by about hhmm 11am, sometimes the crack of NOON!
We are packed and ready to head to the Airport for what we had hoped would be a lovely little flight to the outback of QLD. We are at the Airport the whole band has met up, everyone is rather chirpy for that time of the morning! Well everyone except me, I was asleep on the chair! Our tickets are sorted and our musical Instruments are being checked in, all is well!
We board the plane, and off we go THIS IS TAKE OFF NUMBER ONE!!!! There are refreshments and lovely chats! BUT THERE IS A CATCH!! You may recall being in, or seeing on Television the DUST STORMS that covered our wonderful Country! Some how they seemed to have COVERED OUTBACK QLD TOO!!!! We are flying along and then the plane starts to turn around, we will be making a precautionary stop in Emerald folks, due to weather conditions and fuel! So OH MUCH JOY!! We land in EMERALD! this is our FIRST DESCENT for the day. We land in Emerald and we are delayed due to the Air being so full of Dust we are unable to land in LONGREACH, so we wait in Emerald Patiently. At this stage I am wondering if we are going to make the gig! There is Free food so we forget our troubles for a moment hehe!! After waiting for some time, we finally Board the Plane to Head for Longreach, THIS IS TAKE OFF NUMBER TWO!
It is only about 20 minutes Flight from Emerald to Longreach TOO EASY! or is it???
Now the air is filled with Bright red Dust, LUELLA and the Heelers, landing is a MUST, WE CAN NOT LAND?? That Can't be right!! Dont you know we have a gig tonight??
We start to descend into Longreach, this is our second descent! I am so relieved and Excited, the Wheels are down, there's joy in our hearts, BUT WAIT ! the Wheels are going up again.
But Captain Wait IT JUST CANT BE!! Could this be Take off NUMBER THREE??
And then there is a voice through the speakers above our heads, ladies and Gentlemen, unfortunately we are unable to land in Longreach due to the Lack of Visibility we are going to circle the area and Try again!
Oh now the joke is not funny! What could he mean, My stomach is Churning My face has turned Green! And here we go lets try again, 3rd time lucky, we start to descend! The dust is thick but our will is strong, the wheels are down CMON CAPTAIN CMON. We all sigh with relief as the wheels come down, as I clench to my sick bag with my band all around!
OK so as you can imagine by this time we are all a little over it!! This is the Third Time Lucky Decent for the day!! But Whoever made up that saying was lying!!
The Wheels rose again and the plane took off like a shot ! With Myself and my band all yelling out WHAT!!!! The dust was so thick some feared for their lives, with looks of despair on husbands and wives. BUT I FEARED NOT FOR MY LIFE, I FEARED NOT FOR MY FOE!!!! LAND THIS PLANE CAPTAIN WE HAVE TO GET TO THE SHOW!!!!!!!
This is take off numer four!!!We are back in the air again, and I can not believe it. There was talk of flying back to Brisbane, BUT WAIT!! LETS GO ONE MORE ROUND!! We start to DESCEND AGAIN.
The Captain is ready to take one last shot, Cmon you can do it lets give it a shot!! There's worried faces, there's dust all around, there's anticipation as the wheels come down, I'm wishing hard I clench that brown paper bag, will I ever get over this horrid Jet Lag. THE CAPTAIN OUR HERO, THERE ARE CHEERS ALL AROUND as The WHEELS HIT THE SURFACE AND THE PLANE HAS TOUCHED DOWN!!
The feeling of relief was amazing, nothing like a good air scare to bring you back to Earth. The Dust was UNBELIEVABLE!! I was so happy to Hug my team on the ground, MUSICIANS and PLANES! I have always been a little superstitious.
The Funniest thing is ! OUR JOURNEY WAS STILL NOT OVER!!
We are picked up by a bus and we are 70 Ks out of Winton after 130 DUSTY Kilometers and the Fuel Light is on 70 ks out of Winton! Think the Bus was as Thirsty as we were!! !!! By this stage I just laughed! I had visions of us all out on the side of the road with no phone service playing music to ourselves!!
We arrived Safely in Winton Mid Afternoon Right in time for me to see my AFL team Lose the Grand Final, Just to top off what had already been a great day!! THE MIGHTY ST KILDA SAINTS WILL BE BACK Next year Marching in!!.
After the day we had, we still made the gig, and it was fantastic. We were exhausted but the SHOW MUST ALWAYS GO ON!! When the gig was over we all spent a little time together, I asked my team if they still loved me and they did, so that's great!! Most people pay for those kind of adventures hehehe!!

October was spent doing gigs, Traveling and organising my birthday Party!
I have attached some photos for you.
We had an OP SHOP FORMAL, everyone had to wear an outfit from the OP SHOP and you were not allowed in without your receipt. My whole family came down from North Queensland for it and it was just fantastic. There were some beautiful FROCKS !! What a laugh it was!
I did the CRCA Rodeo Finals In Gracemere in November it was a lot of fun. Then Towards the end of November I started doing a heap of Christmas Functions, this year I was lucky enough to Do the ULTRA TUNE Christmas party again we had a blast and the Venue was fabulous. I was the entertainment for the Channel Nine Christmas function at their studios in Mt COOT-THA, it was really great the theme was THE WINTER OLYMPICS of course!
Next week I head home to My family for Christmas and two weeks off, I will be performing New Years Eve in Bowen this year, so it will be nice to be close to home! I can Eat My body weight in MANGOS YUMMO!!
Well Tamworth is Just around the Corner, I cant wait!! We are taking a 6 piece band PLUS me this year, so it will be a fabulous Musical Experience. I have boutique Soy Candles, Energy Bottles, Shirts, Stickers and CDs for sale! Have to pay for the trip somehow hehehe! RECIPE OF THE MONTH!!!
This one is MY OWN special Strawberry Crumble it is DEEEE LICIOUS!!
Scrumptious Strawberry Crumble
Ingredients
1 Punnett strawberries, halved
300 - 500 grams of Mixed Frozen Berries (Brand of your Choice) I used Creative Gourmet
1 tablespoon of honey (or to your liking really)
For the topping:
1/2 cup flour (I used WHOLEMEAL FLOUR) I think it's better and better for you!
1/2 cup rolled oats (organic if Possible)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla essence
1/3 cup butter
Method:
1. PreHeat the oven to 180 Degrees
2. Grease a Small to Medium size Baking dish with Butter. Add the Strawberries and mixed berries and mix them together. Pour the honey evenly over the top of the berries.
3. Prepare topping: Mix all the ingredients with your fingers until crumbly, sprinkle over fruit mixture and bake at 180 for about 35 to 40 minutes, until golden brown and the fruit is bubbling.
4. Serve warm, with a dollop of ice cream, or a little bit of cream. OOORRRR GO FOR BOTH!!
This recipe is best shared with a beautiful friend or a loved one!! As long as you get the biggest Piece hehehe!

OK so as you can imagine by this time we are all a little over it!! This is the Third Time Lucky Decent for the day!! But Whoever made up that saying was lying!!
The Wheels rose again and the plane took off like a shot ! With Myself and my band all yelling out WHAT!!!! The dust was so thick some feared for their lives, with looks of despair on husbands and wives. BUT I FEARED NOT FOR MY LIFE, I FEARED NOT FOR MY FOE!!!! LAND THIS PLANE CAPTAIN WE HAVE TO GET TO THE SHOW!!!!!!!
This is take off numer four!!!We are back in the air again, and I can not believe it. There was talk of flying back to Brisbane, BUT WAIT!! LETS GO ONE MORE ROUND!! We start to DESCEND AGAIN.
The Captain is ready to take one last shot, Cmon you can do it lets give it a shot!! There's worried faces, there's dust all around, there's anticipation as the wheels come down, I'm wishing hard I clench that brown paper bag, will I ever get over this horrid Jet Lag. THE CAPTAIN OUR HERO, THERE ARE CHEERS ALL AROUND as The WHEELS HIT THE SURFACE AND THE PLANE HAS TOUCHED DOWN!!
The feeling of relief was amazing, nothing like a good air scare to bring you back to Earth. The Dust was UNBELIEVABLE!! I was so happy to Hug my team on the ground, MUSICIANS and PLANES! I have always been a little superstitious.
The Funniest thing is ! OUR JOURNEY WAS STILL NOT OVER!!
We are picked up by a bus and we are 70 Ks out of Winton after 130 DUSTY Kilometers and the Fuel Light is on 70 ks out of Winton! Think the Bus was as Thirsty as we were!! !!! By this stage I just laughed! I had visions of us all out on the side of the road with no phone service playing music to ourselves!!
We arrived Safely in Winton Mid Afternoon Right in time for me to see my AFL team Lose the Grand Final, Just to top off what had already been a great day!! THE MIGHTY ST KILDA SAINTS WILL BE BACK Next year Marching in!!.
After the day we had, we still made the gig, and it was fantastic. We were exhausted but the SHOW MUST ALWAYS GO ON!! When the gig was over we all spent a little time together, I asked my team if they still loved me and they did, so that's great!! Most people pay for those kind of adventures hehehe!!
Wow that has pretty much taken up the whole Newsletter!!
October was spent doing gigs, Traveling and organising my birthday Party!
I have attached some photos for you.
We had an OP SHOP FORMAL, everyone had to wear an outfit from the OP SHOP and you were not allowed in without your receipt. My whole family came down from North Queensland for it and it was just fantastic. There were some beautiful FROCKS !! What a laugh it was!
I did the CRCA Rodeo Finals In Gracemere in November it was a lot of fun. Then Towards the end of November I started doing a heap of Christmas Functions, this year I was lucky enough to Do the ULTRA TUNE Christmas party again we had a blast and the Venue was fabulous. I was the entertainment for the Channel Nine Christmas function at their studios in Mt COOT-THA, it was really great the theme was THE WINTER OLYMPICS of course!
Next week I head home to My family for Christmas and two weeks off, I will be performing New Years Eve in Bowen this year, so it will be nice to be close to home! I can Eat My body weight in MANGOS YUMMO!!
Well Tamworth is Just around the Corner, I cant wait!! We are taking a 6 piece band PLUS me this year, so it will be a fabulous Musical Experience. I have boutique Soy Candles, Energy Bottles, Shirts, Stickers and CDs for sale! Have to pay for the trip somehow hehehe! RECIPE OF THE MONTH!!!
This one is MY OWN special Strawberry Crumble it is DEEEE LICIOUS!!
Scrumptious Strawberry Crumble
Ingredients
1 Punnett strawberries, halved
300 - 500 grams of Mixed Frozen Berries (Brand of your Choice) I used Creative Gourmet
1 tablespoon of honey (or to your liking really)
For the topping:
1/2 cup flour (I used WHOLEMEAL FLOUR) I think it's better and better for you!
1/2 cup rolled oats (organic if Possible)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla essence
1/3 cup butter
Method:
1. PreHeat the oven to 180 Degrees
2. Grease a Small to Medium size Baking dish with Butter. Add the Strawberries and mixed berries and mix them together. Pour the honey evenly over the top of the berries.
3. Prepare topping: Mix all the ingredients with your fingers until crumbly, sprinkle over fruit mixture and bake at 180 for about 35 to 40 minutes, until golden brown and the fruit is bubbling.
4. Serve warm, with a dollop of ice cream, or a little bit of cream. OOORRRR GO FOR BOTH!!
This recipe is best shared with a beautiful friend or a loved one!! As long as you get the biggest Piece hehehe!

Where shall I start??
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Bring on the Big ten! Welcoming a whole new bunch of ups and downs in this rollercoaster that is LIFE! I hope this year (what's left of it already) brings you a billion smiles!!
I spent New Year with My family in North Queensland and it was Fantastic! I have not been home since and I am EXTREMELY homesick and will be there again in April for my Baby sister Courtney's 21st Birthday (I CANNOT BELIEVE OUR BABY IS 21)
January was absolutely wonderful, Our journey to Tamworth was great, our crowds were so responsive and I had the time of my life on stage with such an awesome band! THANK YOU SO MUCH to all that attended and a really huge thank you for buying merchandise!! We had 6 shows in the five days and loved every minute!
We all stayed together in a house this year, cooked dinner practiced songs (ONCE) watched the tennis, we are like one big family and that's just how I like it! Thanks To Kristian Brooks for organising such great accom! Thanks to Scotty and his gorgeous family for letting us have their house!! I was soooo sad to leave to be honest!
February and March were spent traveling throughout Queensland and NSW for shows, we are slowly moving South People in NSW please hang in there! If only LOGISTICS didn't get in the way!
I spent Easter at home in Brisbane and had a great little get together on Good Friday, Had a singalong and cooked up a huge amount of food for my friends, and lit 100 candles. It was just lovely! I then had a gig to raise money for the Starlight foundation on Easter Saturday and Sunday was spent Having Brunch with friends and then home to watch Boston Legal and Eat Chocolate bunnies in bed hehehehe!!
This week I head out with the Band to play at the KILKIVAN GREAT HORSERIDE it will be fantastic! people come from all over to participate and then the day ends with a great Concert! Jetty Road, Neil Duddy and Myself with the Heelers will be Rocking under the stars!!

I got a beautiful Update from one of My Sponsor children Priyanka! who has just graduated from Grade ONE! I was very excited and overwhelmed! Very proud of her! Have attached the photo!
I have also attached an updated photo of my big sisters GORGEOUS twins who turned two in Feb! I MISS THEM SOOO MUCH!

This year my hometown of Collinsville was hit by a Cyclone the first one since 1989 and this time it was a category three when it hit but dropped to a two as it passed. It was quite frightening for me as my Whole family were there and I was in Brisbane! My Mum said it was unbelievable the wind and rain! I was actually Quite sad to not be there with them all as scary as it would have been, I cant believe I spent most of my life there and MISSED IT hehehe! I have attached the photo from the Bureau of Meteorology OUR TOWN IS ON THE MAP hhaha.
I have also included a video for you to watch that I took from my iphone while we were traveling to Mudgee NSW good for a laugh!
RECIPE HHMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM what to cook what to cook! Now I know I am slack with my Newsletters but I am thinking you guys are just as bad!! I need you to send me your favorite recipes or something you have made up yourself so I can post it in my newsletters SHARE THE LOVE!!

Wellies Simple Speedy Tangy Salad Dressing
It depends on how much you neeeeeeeeeeed!! I never do anything by measurement to be honest I just go with what feels right and tastes right!!
Ingredients
Tablespoon White Vinegar
Half a lemon
teaspoon of sugar
2 garlic Gloves (OR AS DESIRED)
Pinch Salt
Teaspoon of Olive Oil
Pinch Pepper if you like!
Mix all ingredients in a small bowl and serve on your Tossed Salad!! YIPPEEE
